Is Pest Control Really Necessary?

If you’re looking into professional pest control, termite treatment or pest inspection services, you may have already tried to solve such  issues yourself. While taking matters into your own hands works in some cases, pest control almost always requires more expertise, strategy and attention to detail than most people can give it. More often than not, homeowners and business owners tend to lack the experience and time to handle most pest-related situations that are commonly encountered in or around a home or business. If you’d like to take care of your pest or termite control situation, call us today at (501) 941-3378.

How Are Pests Getting in My Home?

There are many ways pests can get into your house. For example, when searching for food and shelter ants, roaches, spiders and mice can enter through tiny cracks and crevices. To minimize the chances of pests getting into your house, be sure to keep any tree branches, shrubs, bushes, stacks of firewood, rocks or any other aspect of landscaping well-maintained.

Roaches, spiders, ants and other pests have been known to use trees, shrubs, bushes and parts of gardens as ladders into homes through windows, cracks in brick siding, etc. Before applying any treatment, Bug Pro LLC inspects and finds potential problem areas that may need to be cleaned up. However, it is wise for you to make sure these areas get the ongoing maintenance that they need.

How Long Does Pest Control Take?

The fact is that every home and every business is different. In turn, certain pests take longer to treat with than others, and certain homes and businesses are larger and more complicated to service than others. Some treatments may only take 30 minutes while others may take a few hours depending on the severity and type of treatment that is needed.

Is a Year-Round Pest Control Plan a Smart Option?

Yes, it is a good idea to have year-round pest control plan in place because pests don’t just go away during the cooler and cold months. Like people and other creatures, pests seek food and shelter as well during the cold months.

What’s important is that during this time of ensuring their future, pests can create significant damage to your home or business. Pest can also pose certain health threats to your family and pets, such as spider bites from a brown recluse or black widow spider.

Can I Get Rid of Pests on My Own?

There are several temporary solutions that you may be able to do yourself, and they may work for a short period of time. However, in reality, continued pest control is achieved through going above and beyond normal practices. Novice applications of over-the-counter, basic pest control products are nearly always ineffective, and as a result usually take many time-consuming attempts.

Like any chemical, pesticides need to be used with caution only by professional exterminators with the right expertise and years of experience. Bug Pro LLC’s certified technicians will ensure that your termite treatment or pest control job gets done correctly, and according to the law.

How Long Should Pest Control Last?

The products Bug Pro LLC uses for pest control and termite treatments are approved by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Given that, the strongest pest control products on the market today typically last between 60-90 days. After that, they biodegrade and become a part of the natural environment because otherwise they wouldn’t be registered with the EPA.

Weather can also affect the effectiveness of our pest control treatments, just not as much as one might think. What you will typically notice is that when it rains the barrier spray we put down is still going strong because the base of your home stays dry. Regarding yard treatments, rain is actually beneficial since the granules we use are water activated.

Is Pest Control Safe for Kids & Pets?

Providing kid-friendly and pet-friendly pest control solutions are critically important to us. That is why Bug Pro LLC’s top priority is the safety of our customers and their children and pets. We also strive to be as environmentally friendly as possible. Our pest control materials are biodegradable and EPA approved, and our technicians have been trained on industry safety guidelines and regulations.

Is Preventative Pest Control Necessary for My Home and Business?

In our experienced opinion, absolutely! In fact, a preventative plan is the only plan that works for various kinds of bugs since they are going to try to return to your home one way or another. In short, a preventative pest control plan is the best method to consistently keep bugs from coming inside your house.

When Can I Clean After Pest Control?

It is a good idea to clean before the exterminator arrives. This allows the exterminator to have full access to the various areas of your home that he needs for applying the appropriate pest control treatment for your particular needs.
